Parasite Cleanse Meal Plan: How To Prep for a Cleanse

Starting a parasite cleanse involves careful planning and focusing on your diet. Your food choices leading up to and during your cleanse is essential to effectively evict those unwanted invaders!

A nutrient-dense meal plan is always a key component on your holistic journey towards better health. Before and during your cleanse, it’s essential to feed your body foods that support your body’s natural detox mechanisms. Additionally, your diet needs to avoid foods that parasites love to eat (sugar, processed carbs).

This guide will provide a comprehensive meal plan, highlighting easy-to-digest foods, nourishing liquids, and Whole30-approved options.

Understanding the Parasite Cleanse

The goal of a parasite cleanse is to get rid of harmful parasites that can lead to various health issues, especially digestive issues like bloating, constipation or diarrhea, fatigue, or a weakened immune system. In our experience, most people have parasites—even if you haven’t traveled abroad or eaten street meat, they’re more common than you think.

At Flora Fauna Wellness, our absolute fave is the Cellcore parasite cleanse and we HIGHLY recommend doing 30 days of prep the Jumpstart Kit prior to taking the Para Kit during the full moon (more on this below).

The combination of these 2 kits do a few things which makes them stand out and be more effective and comfortable for your body than most other parasite cleanses.

Here’s why this approach stands out: The Jumpstart Kit prepares your body for the cleanse by supporting your natural detox pathways. If you aren’t pooping regularly or your detox is sluggish, removing parasites and their toxins can overwhelm your system, leading to headaches, worsening digestive symptoms, body aches, and fatigue. That’s why the 30-day prep is essential and I don’t recommend doing a parasite cleanse without the prep.

After the Jumpstart Kit prep, the Para Kit works to eliminate parasites using anti-parasitic herbs, targeting the critters when they’re most active during the full moon. For best results, use the Para Kit for 3 days before, during, and 3 days after the full moon

You can regularly repeat the full moon parasite cleanse, especially if you’re at high risk for parasites or experiencing symptoms.

Meal Plan Essentials

  • Easy-to-Digest Foods

During a parasite cleanse, your digestive system needs to work efficiently to eliminate toxins. Easy-to-digest foods can support this process by reducing the burden on your digestive tract. Plus a healthy plan helps you avoid die off symptoms.

Here are some recommended foods:

  • Organic Cooked Veggies: Organic seasonal produce are essential for your produce pick and cooking them makes them easier to digest. Our favorite go-to veggies are carrots, broccoli, bok choy, cabbage and zucchini.

  • Proteins: Beef, bison, chicken, turkey, and fish are excellent sources of protein that are easy on the digestive system. Be sure to get organic and grassfed whenever buying animal products to minimize the Omega 6’s, hormones, and grains fed to conventional animals and the maximize the vitamins produced by grassfed and pasure-raised animals.

  • Organic White Rice:  A simple carbohydrate that’s easy to digest and provides quick energy. Soak it for 4+ hours before use to improve digestibility and reduce phytic acid and arsenic levels commonly found in rice.

Things to avoid:

  • Minimize processed foods and sugary stuff:Processed foods, especially those loaded with preservatives, refined grains, and unhealthy fats, can trigger inflammation in the body. This inflammation can hinder digestion, making it harder for your body to absorb nutrients and eliminate waste efficiently. On top of that, processed foods often contain artificial additives that can disrupt gut health, creating an environment that makes it easier for parasites and other harmful organisms to thrive. By reducing processed foods, you give your digestive system a chance to function more smoothly and support your detox process.
  • Minimize sugar (including fruit):

Parasites, bacteria and other critters love sugar, and eating sugary foods can fuel their growth, making it harder to fully clear them from your system. While fruit is a healthy option for many, during a parasite cleanse, even natural sugars from fruit can feed parasites and create an imbalance in your gut. Reducing your sugar intake—whether from sweets or fruits—helps starve these organisms and keeps your blood sugar levels stable. Stable blood sugar is key during detox because it helps reduce inflammation, prevents energy crashes, and supports your body’s natural detoxification processes. By limiting sugar, you’re giving your body the best chance to heal and reset during the cleanse.

Nourishing Liquids and Soups

Liquids and soups are essential during a parasite cleanse. They keep you hydrated and support the detox process. Here are some options:

  • Bone Broth: Rich in minerals and collagen, bone broth supports gut health and provides essential nutrients. Beef is most nutritious. Be sure to get GRASSFED and read ingredient labels to make sure you’re just getting bones, herbs and spices and no gums, fillers or other junk.
  • Vegetable Broth: A lighter alternative to bone broth, vegetable broth is hydrating and packed with vitamins.
  • Herbal Teas: Ginger, peppermint, and chamomile teas can soothe the digestive system and reduce inflammation.

Nourishing liquids, broths, and soups are essential for your parasite cleanse meal plan. White bowl with plain golden broth and green onions.

Go Whole30 or Paleo

Whole30 is a dietary program that emphasizes whole foods and eliminates sugar, alcohol, grains, legumes, soy, and dairy. Following Whole30 principles can enhance your parasite cleanse by reducing inflammation and supporting overall health. We recommend Whole30 anytime you are experiencing digestive issues as a general rule! When possible, look for foods that are organic, seasonal, and local to optimize their health benefits.

  • Vegetables: Focus on non-starchy vegetables like leafy greens, broccoli, and bell peppers.
  • Animal Proteins: Try out frass-fed beef or bison, free-range chicken, and wild-caught fish
  • Fats: Avocados, olive oil, and nuts (except peanuts)

Sample Meal Plan

  • Breakfast

    • Egg Scramble: Scramble eggs with a mix of gut-healing veggies like zucchini, spinach, bell peppers, and a small serving of sweet potato for fiber and energy. Add a dash of turmeric and black pepper to help reduce inflammation and support detox.
    • Herbal Tea: Sip on ginger or peppermint tea, both of which can support digestion and help reduce bloating, soothing the gut first thing in the morning.

    Lunch

    • Ground Turkey or Beef Stir-Fry: Sauté ground turkey or beef with onions, garlic, zucchini, bell peppers, and spinach. Season with oregano, thyme, and a pinch of turmeric to support detox and digestion. Serve with a side of steamed broccoli or cauliflower rice for fiber.
    • Bone Broth: A cup of warm, nutrient-dense bone broth with a sprinkle of parsley and rosemary to support gut health and provide additional minerals.

    Dinner

    • Baked Local Fish (Wild-Caught): Lightly season with lemon, garlic, and oregano. These herbs have antibacterial and antifungal properties that can support the cleanse. Serve with steamed broccoli and cauliflower rice for a nourishing, fiber-rich meal.
    • Vegetable Broth: A nourishing vegetable broth (with herbs like rosemary or sage) for gut support and electrolytes. Consider adding a small pinch of sea salt for mineral balance.
  • Herbal Infused Water: Infuse water with lemon and cilantro. Lemon aids detox, while cilantro helps the body eliminate heavy metals and toxins, providing an extra layer of support during the cleanse.

HOW TO DO THE CELLCORE PARASITE CLEANSE

START WITH — CellCore Jumpstart Kit

Begin with the Jumpstart Kit for 30 days prior to the full moon. This prepares your body for a more effective cleanse by opening detox pathways.
